Talent plays a pivotal role in maintaining the status of Hong Kong as an international financial centre. With this in mind, the FSDC has been placing a strong emphasis on human capital development and driving our “Talent Amplifier Programme (TAP) ” in a bid to provide tertiary students, young practitioners with insights shared by a spectrum of financial services industry professionals – including top leaders, C-suites, senior executives and general practitioners.
TAP featured various initiatives, including the Practitioner Speakers Series, FSDC Career Festival, Fireside Chat with Practitioners, as well as Job-shadowing with C-suites. You are welcome to find more details in our “Talent initiatives” section.
FSDC’s Practitioner Speakers Series (PSS) is open to all university students and young industry professionals to enhance their understandings of the financial services industry. The webinars invite industry experts from various sectors in the financial industry to share their career journey and industry overview with the participants.
The FSDC Career Festival is the first industry-wide initiative within the financial services industry, aimed at unlocking the potential of young talents and paving their way into the dynamic world of financial services. It assists students and emerging talents in enhancing their understanding of the industry, while also shaping their future career paths.
The Job-shadowing scheme enables the participants to gain hands-on experiences in a dynamic working environment of a reputable financial institution and shadow senior executives for a glimpse of their day-to-day work. It also provides invaluable experience for participants to network with industry practitioners.
Fireside Chat offers discussion opportunities in the form of small groups to get to know our young industry practitioners. In a casual atmosphere, participants can have more high-touch interaction with our speakers who share their personal experience in the financial services industry, as well as their job-seeking tips such as refining resumes and preparing for job interviews.
