FSDC Fireside Chat Programme (Fintech) - Mr Justin Chung, Quinlan & Associates
FSDC successfully launched the Fireside Chat Programme which aimed to provide tertiary students in Hong Kong with free career coaching and high-touch interaction opportunities with young practitioners, who shared their personal experience in financial services industry, and tips for polishing CV and preparing for job interviews.
This event was fully supported by speakers of previous “Practitioner Speakers Series” talks, who nominated a junior practitioner (3-5 years of work experience) of their company or in their network to speak at the Fireside Chat Programme.
Our participants were fully engaged in discussion of all-round topics ranging from academic background, career aspiration and progression, work challenges and difficulties, job qualifications and industry insights. The event was well received with 100% agreement from students on usefulness for career planning, while on average more than 95% of them found it helpful to understand more about the respective sector.

Mr Justin Chung, Quinlan & Associates
Background and Working Experience
Justin Chung is an Senior Associate at Quinlan & Associates. Before joining Quinlan & Associates, Justin specialised in data analytics and data management at JPMorgan, where he engaged in strategic initiatives and change management projects across Asia Pacific. He was also the Vice President for a fast-growing blockchain advisory start-up that was recognised by InvestHK, where he headed corporate structuring and business development.
Before his professional experience, he completed national service in the Republic of Korea Navy, where he was deployed to the Philippines for a rehabilitation mission after Typhoon Yolanda and to Somalia as part of CTF-151, an anti-piracy task force of the United Nations.
Education
Justin holds a First Class Honours Degree in Global Business from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
