Appointments to Committees of the Financial Services Development Council

The Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) announced today (April 1) the appointment of committee members to the FSDC with effect from April 1, 2019 to January 16, 2021.
The FSDC has formed six committees (namely Policy Research Committee; Mainland Opportunities Committee; New Business Committee; Market Development Committee; Human Capital Committee; and Corporate Governance Committee) to assist the work and help oversee the governance of the incorporated FSDC. The FSDC has consulted the Government on the appointment of the committee members in accordance with its Articles of Association.
The FSDC Chairman, Mr Laurence Li, said, “I would like to extend a warm welcome to our committee members. The joining of new members will bring together a broad range of expertise and instill fresh ideas and progression for the future direction of our work. We look forward to our committee members’ contribution in advancing the mission of the FSDC in market promotion, policy research and human capital development.” In the future, the FSDC will step up efforts in market promotion and enhancing human capital development for the financial services industry of Hong Kong. On research, the FSDC will explore topics including innovation and technologies; insurance and asset management; environmental, social and governance; tax and financial services and Greater Bay Area Development.
